Privacy Notice for Students

This notice explains why Knutsford Iyengar Yoga Centre collects information about you and how the information may be used.       

These records are kept to ensure your own safety and to enable you to benefit fully from your yoga class(s).  The data also helps us to keep in touch with you to inform you of any cancelled class or change of times.

Our records are electronic and on paper and we use a combination of the two to ensure that your information is kept confidential and secure.

Records may include details about you such as your address, email address, telephone number(s), emergency name and contact number, medical information

All your information is held securely.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and will only use information collected in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations 2018.

Every teacher at the Knutsford Iyengar Yoga Centre has a legal obligation to keep information about you confidential.

We will not disclose any information about you to any third party.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as we need to, to be able to use it for the reasons given in this policy and for as long as we are required to do so by law.

We will review and update this privacy policy at least once a year and notify you of any changes.

You have a right under the General Data Protection Regulations 2018 to request access to view or obtain copies of the information that Knutsford Iyengar Yoga Centre holds about you and to have it amended should it be inaccurate.  Please ask your class teacher for this information.

Should you have any concerns about how your information in managed, please contact the owner of the Centre, Margaret Carter.  If you are still unhappy following a review, you can complain to the information Commissioner`s Office via their website (www.ico.gov.uk)
